Biography
Dr. Josh J. Wang received his MD and MS from Hubei University of Medicine and Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences in China, and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University affiliated hospitals. After he came to the United States, Dr Wang completed his post-doctoral fellowship training at Medical University of South Carolina and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (2003 and 2006), then became a Research Associate and junior faculty at Health Sciences Center. He joined the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine as a faculty member in 2012. Dr Wang is an accomplished clinical investigator, researcher and educator. His research interests focus on diabetes related vascular complications such as diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy and diabetic peripheral vascular diseases. He has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Wang has authored/co-authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers, review articles, book chapters in the field of diabetes and vascular diseases.
Research Interest
His research interests focus on diabetes related vascular complications such as diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy and diabetic peripheral vascular diseases.
